Rhyme of the Day
"Daddy, let's play jump rope."
You had my guitar strap and handed me one end, keeping the other for yourself. "Jump rope" to you doesn't actually have to involve any jumping; you're satisfied if we just twirl the "rope" together. What was really cute is that you sang a little rhyme along with it:
"Roses are red
violets are blue
here's a rhyme
just for you!
"I see Emily's underpants
I see Emily's underpants!"
What especially cracked me up is the loooong pause after you first sang "I see Emily's underpants..." as if you realized, "Hey, I'm missing something here." But repeating it works just as well and makes us both giggle up a storm.
