Perodatcyl
We were walking through the park today on our way to the Environmental Learning Center to visit the two owls, hawk, and fish when you asked me:
"Daddy, can you find me a perodactyl?"
"A pterodactyl?" I replied.
"No, a perodactyl."
"What's a perodactyl?"
"It looks like a bird."
"Is it big?"
"No, it isn't very big."
"Does it fly?"
You thought about this hard for a few moments, then replied, "Yes, it flies."
I smiled and told you, "Honey, I promise I'll look for a perodactyl for you. I don't think they have any here but if I see one, I'll let you know."
That was enough for you. We never did see a perodactyl but maybe we just need to look in the museum of natural history. Good idea for the weekend.
