Iowa Beach... Not an Oxymoron

Wow, Adessa... before this past weekend, did you know that there was an actual, honest-to-goodness beach in Iowa?

I sure didn't. But it's true. And we have the photographs to prove it:


This pretty beach is in that little town of Buffalo. They sure have some nice things in this tiny place. And that, of course, is the mighty Mississippi River.



Mmmm... that old, familiar sensation of beach sand slipping through your fingers.


Goes without saying that you gotta take your shoes off. Can't fully enjoy the beach without bare feet.


Of course, Bella wanted to get in on the fun as well!

The beach was definitely a hit with you. All weekend long, you kept asking, "Daddy, can we go to the beach?" Unfortunately, our warm weather kind of left town for a little while. But I foresee quite a few more trips to the beach ahead of us in the coming months...
