Art for Tots - Week 2

Yesterday, we did another "Art for Tots" class together at the Muscatine Art Center and, as before, it was a big hit with you. The theme of this week's class was "Springs, Sprockets, and Pulleys." Along those lines, here you are tying a little toy plastic policeman to a cloth with ribbon to make a "parachute man."

You really, really like hand painting with tempura paints.

I gave you a hand with making a pinwheel toy that you later found out made a fine necklace.

This little art project was called "Fish Race." You made a fish out of foil and then blew him across this little "lake" with a straw.

Happily skipping out of the Art Center with your pinwheel toy/necklace around your neck. "Thank you, Art Center!"

  1. Adessa, I think you may very well have the makings of an artist! Looks to me like you do very good work. You know, your great grandmother (my mom) took up painting when she was about 50 and created many lovely pictures. You are getting a much earlier start - so think how many more art projects you can complete than she did!

    Love you,
    Grammy
