Independence Day - Part 3

Instead of staying in East Moline for the fireworks, we headed west to the tiny town of Buffalo, IA for their Independence Day celebration. Your repeated queries of "When are the fireworks coming?" were met with an answer when someone let off a cherry bomb in the distance. Needless to say, you weren't expecting it.

We were disappointed when it became apparent that Buffalo's promised "Lighted Boat Parade" had utterly fizzled out without so much as a single boat participating. You weren't too upset though; as long as you could toss some driftwood into the river, you were just happy to be there.
