"Daddy, Look -- I'm Tall!"

As we were out for an evening walk with Bella, suddenly you stopped short and stared a short distance away at something. I had no clue why: had you seen a squirrel or bunny?


"Look, Daddy... my shadow," you said, "I'm tall!"

Took me a moment to figure out your meaning. Then it dawned on me: in the 7pm sunlight, your shadow was very tall. You were fascinated.

It's been a long time since I've been mesmerized by my own 30-foot-long shadow, but I remember as a child being amazed by that. Now It's one of those things that I get to see with fresh eyes again through yours. I love it!
