B is for Bella

B is for Bella -- the name of our little Yorkshire Terrier dog.

Bella turned eight years old on November 2nd, which in dog years means she's no longer a spring chicken.  But you'd never know it being around her.  She's as playful and energetic as she ever was.

Adessa loves her little dog -- loves to take her for walks, loves to hug her, loves to get doggy kisses, loves to give her treats, and loves to have her cuddle up with her (when Bella is in the mood to cooperate, of course).

Bella has been all over the US -- 31 states so far, by last count -- and has traveled via car, bus, plane, train, RV, boat, ferry, bicycle, and yes, even horseback.  I reckon she's done more and seen more than 99% of dogs out there.  She has made friends from New York City to Los Angeles and Seattle to Orlando -- not to mention Davenport, Minneapolis, Albuquerque, Virginia Beach, and Challis, Idaho.

She's been a wonderful companion and, like Adessa, a constant blessing.  Even when Adessa was too little to understand that grabbing the doggy's ears would be painful, Bella never bit or hurt her in any way.  She was gentle and patient (not to mention wise enough to keep her distance once Adessa got to motoring around the house).

It's hard to imagine life without Bella at this point and certainly don't want to.
