C is for Canyon Crest, the place we used spend many of our days. In fact, when the weather was good and we were at home, more days than not we'd take a trip there for lunch, shopping, or just to walk.

Canyon Crest Towne Center is a laid-back spot with shops, restaurants, fountains, grass, and -- occasionally -- special events for kids and families. We were some of their best customers.

We were such frequent guests at the Crest Cafe that the owners, two brothers, dubbed Adessa the "Crest Baby." They would spot us out walking elsewhere in Canyon Crest and call out, "Hey, it's the Crest Baby!"

In this video, you can see one of the "special events" we enjoyed: an impromptu concert by a jazz singer/trumpter out in their courtyard. Adessa was amazed.
