Staying With Bob and Fran Richter
We arrived at Bob and Fran Richter's house after our epic journey and found they weren't quite home yet -- that evening they were at the wedding of a family friend of ours, Cassie Buyert. So we played a little bit in the backyard so you and Bella could burn off some steam...
...and then let ourselves in and enjoyed ourselves down in the game room. You loved playing with the pool balls, calling them "bowling balls" -- and I suppose, given the way you played with them, "bowling balls" is the more appropriate term.
It wasn't too long before Bella started to bark and dance around excitedly and we soon heard the sound of a door opening upstairs. Bob and Fran were home! Now, it had been nearly three years since you'd seen them... but I'd been telling you about them all day and you were so excited to see them. "Bob and Fran" became "Bobbinfran" and over and over you asked "Are we to Bobbinfran's house yet?" So to finally see them in person was quite a moment. You were glad to embrace "Mr. Bob" and let him know how glad you were to be there.
Dependable as always, "Mrs. Fran" brought you a great big present!
Mrs. Fran was even kind enough to oblige you by helping you and Bella open this enormous gift.
What was inside? Why, a beautiful towel with "Adessa" embroidered upon it, as well as several wonderful children's books including Cinderella and How God Gives Us Popcorn. You were delighted.
Mrs. Fran is a special person to your Grammy -- one of her best friends -- and also a very good listener and thoughtful person. On Saturday, you asked her if you could have hard-boiled eggs and on Sunday morning we awoke to find she had remembered your request.
It wasn't long before you went from saying "Mrs. Fran" to "Mrs. Franny" -- where you got this from, no one could figure out as no one else said this around you, but it sure was cute. First thing in the morning, every morning, you woke up and immediately asked, "Can we go down and wake up Bobbinfran?" And every time we went somewhere for a drive after a while you'd ask, "Can we go back to Bobbinfran's house?"
Clearly, both Mr. Bob and Mrs. Fran made quite the impression on you, sweetheart.
