Adessa-isms
You are now at the age where you just constantly crack me up with things you say... and I don't want to forget them. Here are some of my favorite "Adessa-isms":
"The Big Twist" = Cloverleaf freeway interchange, as in, "Daddy, can we go on The Big Twist? And I want to go real fast!"
"Sippy River" = Mississippi River (though sometimes you pronounce it perfectly)
"Can I pet a dog?" = what you yell to surprised dog owners, meaning "Excuse me, sir, but would you permit me to pet your dog?"
"Pasghetti" = Spaghetti
"Ding-dong bell" = a bell
"Hooley hoop" = hula hoop
"Eatmeal" = oatmeal
"Aminals" = animals
"Crazy Potty," "Crazy Sink," "Crazy Tub," etc. = any unusual bathroom fixtures, such as a clawfoot tub
