Hello Kitty Party

We had a bit of fun with a Hello Kitty Party today, Adessa. It was your idea when I brought you a Hello Kitty balloon the other day and you asked, "Can we have a Hello Kitty Party?"

I'm pretty sure most of the world is unaware of the vast assortment of Hello Kitty party paraphernalia available out there... but today, we had:

a Hello Kitty necklace...


Hello Kitty party blowers...


a Hello Kitty bracelet and a Hello Kitty watch...


Hello Kitty party hats...


I said, "Hello Kitty party hats!"


a Hello Kitty cup...


Hello Kitty balloons... and (not pictured) Hello Kitty stickers, Hello Kitty ponytail holders, and a Hello Kitty candy makeup case. I don't know who invented Hello Kitty, but he or she has just got to be raking in the bucks.

Needless to say, we had a lot of fun.

I'll add a few especially cute and touching things you said today...

(After I dropped a strawberry on the floor during lunch) "It's OK, Daddy... it's just an accident."

(Watching me blow up each balloon with a very worried look on your face) "Daddy, try not to pop it. Try not to pop it."

(Playing with balloons together) "Oh, this is wonderful!"

(Placing your head in my lap) "I love you, Daddy."

That was a lot of fun, Addie... it was a great idea you had for a party.
