A Gift From Fran and Bob Richter

Yesterday you got a nice gift from some old friends of the family, Adessa... Fran and Bob Richter, who are friends of your Grammy and Grandpa from way back, sent you a cute shirt all the way from where they live in Minnetonka, Minnesota.


Here's a photo of you swinging with Fran in September 2007 when we visited Fran and Bob. Look at those dimples -- you're having the time of your life!


And here you are, safe in Fran's arms as you head down a slide together. Wow, it's hard to believe that was two years ago, Adessa. Look how tiny you are there.


So here you are yesterday, opening your presents... you got a few other things including another outfit, a Snoopy doll, a new book, but you really wanted to try on the new shirt:


I don't know quite what got into you, but you were not shy at all about hamming it up for the camera when I asked you to model your gift.


You even insisted on putting on my sunglasses so you could really play the rock star role. Yes, it was your idea.


Work it, girl!


Fran and Bob love you a lot, Adessa, and they enjoy watching you grow up -- even from afar. They're really proud of you, as am I.
