Some words are just fun to say. "Younkers" is one of them. So we crack each other up by exclaiming it over and over again while we're walking into the store.


The weather has been beautiful this week -- the sun has reappeared! Time to shop for some shades...


Say, they even match your coat!


Younkers had a bin crammed full of these "overstuffed" stuffed animals... a frog, a ladybug (your favorite), a dog, a buffalo, a butterfly, a lamb, a giraffe, a monkey, and this kittycat you wanted to hug here.


Lovely costume jewelry... you wanted to try on this big ol' beaded necklace.


A shelf full of angel figurines really fascinated you. We sat there for a good ten minutes while you rearranged them and told stories about them: "This one has a book. This one has a golden toy. This one is sleeping."

Last anecdote: as we walked through the young misses' section, you pointed to a pair of purple stretchy pants and said, "Daddy, let's get some pants for you... these are big enough for you." Can you really imagine me in a pair of purple stretchy pants?
