The Menner Family

This past weekend, we stopped by to see some old friends who live in Moline: Bill and Cindy Menner and their daughter, Melinda. Bill is the pastor of Calvary Chapel Quad Cities near downtown Rock Island. They all moved out to the Quad Cities from Southern California about seven years ago to start the church (along with their son Ryan, who just left for college in Texas).

We visited their house for a few minutes so I could grab my guitar and while we were there they were kind enough to give you a little tour of their house because -- as always -- you saw the stairs and asked, "Can I see your bedroom? Can I look at your bathroom?"

Melinda took you upstairs for your tour and when you re-appeared, you were wearing one of her very fashionable hats. (Sorry for the pic quality -- BlackBerry camera phones have the clarity of the Zapruder film.) You were quite proud of your look. Not one to leave you empty-handed, Melinda gave you a pair of funky Bootsy Collins star-shaped sunglasses to take with you as well.

You are quite the charmer.
