Lake Minnetonka Beach

This was where I grew up, Adessa, around the famous Lake Minnetonka, and what a joy it was to spend a beautiful, sunny Saturday with you here this weekend.

The water was a little cold -- probably low 80s -- but on such a hot, sunny day it felt great.

You are definitely a hands-on little girl. You love to get your hands dirty, to dig, build, scoop, and then flatten it all so you can start over again.

Here was a first for you -- discovering the fun in getting buried in the sand at the beach.

Whoa! Buried right up to your chin!

Taking time out for lunch with our new friends, the Paulson family.

After a wonderful day together, parting is such sweet sorrow. But I have a feeling we'll see them again in the not-too-distant future.

Exhausted after a day of splashing, digging, jumping, swimming, running, floating, and just doing what three-year-olds do, you were soon sound asleep on our journey as I towed you and Bella behind my bicycle back to the Richters.
