Grandpa's Special Adessa Project

Adessa, your Grandpa loves you very, very much. He spends a lot of time thinking about you and dreaming up new and special gifts for you. For instance, he put together that really sweet "Calendar Girl" video I posted here a couple months ago that was full of favorite pictures of you. And for Thanksgiving, he thought of a neat project you could work on together: a signboard called "Who Loves Adessa?"

The concept was simple: you and he would together paste on wooden block letters that spell out all the closest people who love you (Mommy, Daddy, Grammy, Grandpa, Nonna, Nonno, Bella, God, and Jesus) and then you'd get to decorate the final results with stickers.

I wasn't sure how you'd do with this, to be honest. Sometimes your attention span for a craft that requires more than a few minutes of time can be an obstacle. But you really took to this, gladly climbing up in Grandpa's lap to help out.

Then you dutifully placed the stickers all over the board for that last little dash of pizazz.

The end result -- magnificent! The first Grandpa/Granddaughter project ever completed... and I'm quite sure the first of many you two will put together over the years.

Your Grandpa just adores you, Adessa... you are truly the apple of his eye.

  1. Adessa, Grandpa planned this project for the two of you to do together weeks before our visit. He was hoping you'd take to it - and sure enough you did! That made him very happy and the rest of the family too. It was fun to see you together working to make the poster extra pretty. Good job, both of you!
    Love, Grammy
